Christmas 2020

Santa visited the school today and again it was because of the donations from our community that we were able to give every child a small gift. As you know Santa has been recruiting the help of others as some of his elves have been a little poorly!

A special thank you goes to the following.

Our local post office, Vibe Teaching Agency, Sanza Teaching Agency, Sally Moore (LDBS), Veronica Haider (LDBS), Eunice, Peter, Katie and Pandita (St Mary’s Governors), Dilly and Roxanne ( St Mary’s Church), St Mary’s parents, Senior Leaders at St Mary’s School, Stephanie Watson ( Sanza) and St John of Jeruselum Church Community.

This week has been wonderful, seeing the children enjoy the Christmas activities. Our amazing support staff created Christmas Fayre games for all of the children to enjoy. Dilly and Roxanne from St Mary’s Church led a Christmas Service for each bubble and handed out Christingle bags to the children. The fantastic kitchen staff  made our Christmas jumper / dinner day extra special by serving up a delicious festive meal and the children have been being creative in class.

Please ask them about it and look at some of the other photographs that we be posted on the school website shortly. In addition, please take a look at our Christmas movie that is being posted on the school website. Apologies for my early morning video message, with toaster background noise and the slow ‘concentrating’ speech. I will not tell you how many ‘takes’ I did to get to that point! You will be  sent a code via text to allow you access to it as soon a possible.

Because of the amazing generosity of  people in our community we have been able to provide goodie bags for 21 families ( 31 children) from our school. We put families names in a hat and drew out some lucky families, we hope that this small gesture brings a little joy and hope.
