Year 1 visited the Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood for their current topic “the magic toymaker”. An extension of the Victoria & Albert Museum, the museum holds a large collection of children’s toys. Pupils were able to learn about toys dating back to 17th century including teddy bears, games, dolls, doll houses (some donated by royalty), model trains, theatres and puppets, there is also a display of toys from around the world.
