Some children need a specific referral for an EHCP if their needs are more complex and require additional intervention. If this referral is seen as beneficial then parents will be invited into discuss this further and their consent sought. A referral for an initial assessment can be made to the Hackney Learning Trust where a panel of professionals will decide if an EHCP can be awarded. For those children who have an EHCP awarded then a planning meeting will be held to decide on specific outcomes and goals. This will then be followed up by an Annual Review held in school each year.
